HOUSE FULL OF GUESTS
Had all the Veterinary Technicians over for lunch today. It was lots of fun to have them...they are all so respectful and full of questions about America. I wore my traditional Ethiopian dress and used as much of my Tigrinya as I could. After lunch, the kids helped our cook serve coffee in the traditional coffee ceremony, along with popcorn, which is also customary. It was fun to see the kids taking part and the technicians seemed to appreciate the gesture. Afterwards, a couple of neighbor girls came over to talk and begin a discussion group we will have every Sunday afternoon. They are 19 and 21 and will invite their friends. We will open the Bible and explore what the book of John says. It was exciting to be getting involved more intimately with people in our home this weekend!
